Jane Hakaraia
Jane has a background in theatre and film where her skills include jewellery and costume design, prop making and in particular, lighting design. Her latest adventure in product design comes from a fascination with the design process and a love for making things.
“I see product design as problem solving. It is an opportunity to take products and services that are poorly designed and make them better whether that is functionally, environmentally, socially or even morally. Combine that with a desire to design responsibly and the opportunities are endless.”

The Terrain chair was developed in partnership with Finewood Furniture and attempts to be 100% New Zealand Pure by being both sustainable and New Zealand made. The design references the undulations of our landscape and features lines that are not only stylish and contemporary but are simple and practical for a wide range of applications.

The purpose of the Manu Pango (Blackbird) Peg is to encourage and inspire people to rediscover the joys of hanging out washing!
the radio was a group project with Damon Stenhouse and Mandy Gong. The removable piece is a portable radio and also a remote for a larger speaker unit.
